I quote “The moment opens where attention is.”

I wish to add - The attention opens up when awareness is. And the good thing is that awareness can be cultivated! The story at the end of this post about a prince is just an example to how much level it can be cultivated.

Thank you, Sandeep, and thanks for sharing.

This is where I see it a little differently. The line right before the one you quoted says there is no skill to learn and no method for catching the moment. I meant that literally.

I'm not sure awareness can be cultivated the way a skill is. The effort to cultivate it puts the one who is trying back in the middle. To me it's closer to what's left when that effort stops.

You are right. There are different types of people in this world and for all the cultivation of awareness is not the right way because then they will cling to it. This method works only for honest, pure at heart and authentic people only. And for them it is necessary too.

If the moment happens where attention is, is correct description then one is left with no other choice to wait for the moment! It may have happened to you that way, but all are not like you. We need to consider the level at which their life exists and from there slowly slowly bring up to this level like you. Then they can move onwards on their own.

So my perspective is to think about ‘how I can help them to take one more step?’ Everyone is moving towards that moment knowingly or unknowingly.

That's kind of you, but I don't think there's a level, and I'd rather not stand on one.

The clinging you mention might be the whole difficulty. I'm not sure anyone is exempt from it, honest people included. I'm certainly not.

On waiting, I'd put it slightly differently: waiting is still a kind of trying, one eye on the outcome. What I mean is closer to no longer looking for it.

Your last line I agree with completely. Everyone is moving toward it, knowingly or not.

Yes it is true as I quote “What I mean is closer to no longer looking for it.”
